VR Apartments 2021

The application allows the user to walk through the created 3D apartments, filled with various furniture, as well as interactive objects in virtual reality. The user can edit different parts of the house or apartment, namely the color and materials used.

Features of the flow:

• The scene has two modes, day and night, which are activated alternately with the light switch. This allows the user to view the selected apartments from different angles, in different conditions. When changing the mode (night and day), the lighting also changes.
• The user can change the environment by opening the menu of objects in the room which can be edited. This allows the user to clearly see what he can change and be sure that these changes will not affect the rest of the apartment. In addition, the user can aim the beam at a specific object and open the palette menu to change one specific element.
• There are interactive objects on the stage, such as shelves and drawers that the user can open and close by bringing his hand close enough to the object with which he wants to interact.

Features:

• The application can be used on virtual reality headsets Oculus Quest, Oculus Quest 2, HTC Vive.
• The app is built using URP.
• To bake the light on the map, the Bakery plugin was used, which allows you to create realistic lighting for both static and non-static objects.
• For interaction with the outside world, the VR Interaction Framework has been integrated.
• All changes made in one scene mode (day or night) are carried over to the other mode.
• Opening and closing doors for shelves is implemented using physics.
